From the creator of the Joey Foundation:
I would like to tell you about a Foundation in memory of my son Joey. Joey passed away at age 6 due to Aplastic Anemia. We got joey right from the hospital when he was born as a foster baby. They told us he was healthy, At 4 months old he almost died of bi lateral pneumonia. That is when we found out he had a terminal illness and they said if he lived through this this illness he would not live to age 1. We adopted him knowing he was not going to be with us for long. But He did live to age 6 1/2. Joey spent many months at a time in the hospital and he was the mayor of the kids playroom. He would help kids deal with tests and he always gave his birthday presents to them saying they needed it more. So when he passed away I needed to do something to keep his memory alive and help kids like he did and so the Joey Foundation was formed. We are a 501c3 non profit in NY. We help kids. This past holiday season we gave gifts to over 225 needy kids who would not have had a holiday if it wasn't for us. I am a proud mother of an angel, who still helps kids. Right now we are raising money to give foster kids duffle bags, as now they get a black garbage bag to put there stuff in. This will give them so dignity back in their lives.
On July 18th we are having a double fund raiser. During the day we are having a family fun day where kids can get tattoos, face painting, cotton candy free, and parents can shop with our over 50 vendors. all table money from vendors are being donated to buy duffle bags for these foster kids. Each bag is $20.00. then at 6pm we turn the room around for our first ever Kentucky Derby, race your inner child. toy horse heads on a stick and you bet on them to win prizes.
We are in need of raffle baskets for this event, as well as sponsorships. If you can help us by donating a basket, or making a tax deductible donation we would be so grateful.
Help us help kids in Joeys memory. Thank you for helping me help kids.

If you would like to donate now- they are accepting donations/ticket sales for the evening celebration through PayPal via thejoeyfoundation15@gmail.com.
