About The Publisher: Eileen Diener

I thought I'd let everybody know a little bit about me! (I'm sure you've asked yourself who is this person talking about kids to me?? My name is Eileen and I started out being a publisher mom in June of 2013.  It's been quite a whirlwind since then.  I've never been an amazing writer, but thank goodness for other publisher moms that share their articles with me!  Before being a publisher mom...Well, I went to college and graduate school in hopes of being a guidance counselor in a middle school program.  During that time I worked in retail, climbing my way up to general manager in different stores.  After graduating, I decided I really liked working in retail...the late hours, the floor moves, the holidays-I know crazy!  But I found out that I loved talking to people and liked to be an organizer for people.  My son was born and I still juggled work at home and at a retail job.  When my daughter was born, my husband and I decided that it would be best if I stay home and take care of the kids. Two years later I found when I stopped going to work that I really needed to keep the kids busy or I would go crazy!  I took them to the library for the free events and found myself searching the internet everyday trying to find fun things for me to do with the kids.  I even joined meet-up groups to try to make friends with other stay-at-home moms.  Finally, I met someone that introduced me to Macaroni Kid and I was hooked!  Why not share all the information I find while I'm searching with other caregivers?  Fast forward to 2022 and I have a new career along with MacKID. I work in a local school district and I am also a behavioral analyst. I guess my love for kids and community found me my vocation. So my goal now is to help the community have fun with their kids and promote our local businesses.  Want to know more?  Ask me questions by emailing me at eileend@macaronikid.com!
